CA - Howard Hastings

Howard Hastings serves as ITAM Evangelist at CA. With a career spanning more than 30 years in IT, Howard leverages his experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) as a practitioner, corporate manager, software executive and entrepreneur to further CA’s position in the marketplace and influence internal product direction.
Howard joined CA when it acquired DecisionRight in 2007 where he was a Co-founder and VP of Solutions developing software recognition and augmented content for software inventory/asset management tool publishers and delivering software license compliance services to IT organizations. At DecisionRight Howard helped draft the initial versions of the ISO 19770-2 (“Software Data Tag”) and 19770-3 (“Entitlement”) standards. A frequent speaker and writer for trade publications as well as an expert witness for software copyright infringement and counterfeiting litigation, Howard has also performed multiple updates of the Certified Software Manager (CSM) curriculum, the only industry sanctioned education covering US and Canadian copyright law and the external audit process as it pertains to computer software for the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). Prior to CA, held leadership positions with Remedy, Comdisco and ReliaStar Financial. Mathieu Baissac is OCS' chief technology officer and technology visionary. His in-depth knowledge of ERP and licensing technology makes him uniquely qualified to lead the design and implementation of OCS' products. Mathieu's expertise with the OCS technology, business models and systems dates back to his work with OCS' predecessor, RR Donnelley's Global Software Services division, where he was integral to the development of PDS, the underlying technology in the OCS product line. Prior experience includes positions of VP, Worldwide Planning and Architecture for Modus Media. He also worked for Stream International's electronic commerce group, where he was responsible for accelerating development of the company's web-based consumer software store. Mathieu also served as Vice President of Development for Corporate Software & Technology, where he led the reseller's ERP implementation. Mathieu earned his bachelor of arts degree from Carleton College, with a concentration in computer sciences. |
Symantec - RJ Vissers

RJ Vissers serves as vice president of the office of pricing & licensing, with responsibility for developing and driving Symantec’s pricing and licensing strategies.
Most recently, RJ worked for Symantec’s Business Process Improvement team where he initiated and managed several programs to improve Symantec’s customer facing business processes, in particular in the “Quote-to-Cash” area. Prior to that, he served as vice president of Global Sales Operations during which time he also acted as interim lead of the enterprise sales force in Germany. RJ began his Symantec career leading the Information Technology Services department for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Before joining Symantec, RJ held positions at The Royal Dutch/Shell Group and several technology companies in the Netherlands in roles that included product management, sales and marketing, IT services management, and business consulting. RJ received a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Twente University of Technology in The Netherlands. |
